Hi! I’m Wendy Trattner!

I'm a contemporary abstract artist based in Scottsdale, Arizona.

My bold abstract paintings are designed to elevate a space while inviting deeper reflection—each piece layered with texture, emotion, and hidden messages.

As a giggly girl, most people don’t expect that I was once a mechanical engineer who graduated from MIT. And they’re even more surprised that I left it all to become a self-taught artist. But there’s more to my story. It all started when tragedy struck at age 7, turning my world upside down.

  • Wendy is amazing!!

“Super responsive and collaborative as I shared my ideas of what I wanted for my room art. It’s now a subject of conversation when it appears in my home video calls and gives my room all the good vibes!”

    ~Adam

  • It’s always the first thing people notice in the room!

“I have one of Wendy's gorgeous paintings in my room and it changes the whole space! I saw it at one of Wendy's art shows and immediately loved it. It’s full of color and movement and thoughtfulness, it reminds me of joy!”

    ~Alexis

  • The painting far exceeded my expectations

“I absolutely loved working with Wendy. I reached out to her about designing a piece relating to my favorite song that I had spent years figuring out the right person to do it. The painting far exceeded my expectations and is my favorite artwork I have. The amount of time Wendy spent asking questions, working with us, and trying to understand why the song inspired us really came through in the final painting”

    ~Jaryd

  • She translated my thoughts into a work that I absolutely love

"I worked with Wendy to create a custom piece that would quietly capture themes of movement, nature and the emptiness of space. She shared drafts, new ideas and ended up translated my vague thoughts into a work that I absolutely love.. it’s something I look at every single day with intrigue and wonder
